Sáng chế sơn Việt Nam đăng ký thành công tại Mỹ. Từ một phế phẩm nông nghiệp là vỏ trấu, PGS.TS Nguyễn Thị Hòe đã nghiên cứu thành công công nghệ sơn nano với những sản phẩm độc đáo như sơn chống đạn, sơn chống cháy, sơn kháng khuẩn…

Ngày 8/5, tại Hà Nội đã diễn ra Hội thảo quốc tế “Công nghệ sơn Nano từ vỏ trấu” do tập đoàn Sơn Kova tổ chức. Hội thảo đã thu hút gần 300 khách mời  là đại diện của Bộ Khoa học Công nghệ, Bộ Công an, các nhà khoa học, chuyên gia ngành sơn từ các tập đoàn đa quốc gia trên thế giới.

Công nghệ Nano từ vỏ trấu do PGS.TS Nguyễn Thị Hòe – Chủ tịch Tập đoàn Sơn Kova sáng chế. Theo PGS.TS Nguyễn Thị Hòe thì bà đã mất gần 10 năm và tiêu tốn khoảng 2 triệu USD để nghiên cứu ra dòng sơn công nghệ này.

Những mẫu sơn độc đáo ứng dụng công nghệ Nano từ vỏ trấu như như: Sơn tự làm sạch, sơn kháng khuẩn, sơn chống cháy và đặc biệt là mô hình sơn chống đạn. Công nghệ này của Tập đoàn Kova đã chính thức được đăng ký bằng sáng chế tại Mỹ.

Từ vỏ trấu, sản phẩm Silicate nano tách ra được dùng để tổng hợp Colloidal. Sản phẩm Silicat nano từ vỏ trấu được tách ra có giá trị lớn gấp trăm lần so với trấu, được dùng cho nhiều lĩnh vực như sơn, chống thấm, mỹ phẩm, dược phẩm, vi tính…

Bằng việc biến tính Colloidal để ứng dụng vào lĩnh vực chất phủ, các sản phẩm nano đi từ vỏ trấu có chất lượng thậm chí còn cao hơn so với đi từ các vật liệu khác như ở độ bóng, độ cứng của màng sơn, khả năng chịu nhiệt, khả năng chống thấm, chống bám bụi, chống rêu mốc.

Nhờ vào những yếu tố vượt trội của vật liệu nano từ vỏ trấu, Kova còn cho ra đời những sản phẩm mang tính đặc thù cao như: Sơn chống cháy, sơn kháng khuẩn, sơn đá nghệ thuật, sơn chống đạn… Mặt khác, việc sản xuất sơn từ vỏ trấu còn góp phần bảo vệ môi trường, làm giảm sự ấm lên toàn cầu do ít sử dụng nguồn nguyên liệu đi từ chất hữu cơ, đặc biệt là dầu mỏ.

Đặc biệt là dòng sơn chống đạn.Với hàm lượng vỏ trấu trong nguyên liệu làm sơn chiếm đến 70%. Loại sơn này được dùng cho các áo chống đạn để tăng khả năng chống đạn, giảm cân nặng cho áo. Áo chống đạn sử dụng sơn Nano từ vỏ trấu đã được thử nghiệm tại Campuchia. Theo TS Hòe, kết quả viên đạn súng lục không xuyên qua 6 lớp vải Kevlar khi có sơn chống đạn, ở cự ly 2m. Trong khi đó đạn có thể xuyên qua 12 lớp áo không sơn chống đạn cũng ở cự ly 2m.

Dù nhận được nhiều đề nghị hợp tác từ nhiều đơn vị trên thế giới nhưng TS Hòe cho biết, hiện bà chưa có ý định thương mại hóa dòng sản phẩm này mà chỉ muốn giới thiệu như một thành tựu công nghệ Việt Nam mang tầm quốc tế.

PGS.TS Nguyễn Thị Hòe cho biết: “Thời gian tới, bên cạnh những thị trường truyền thống đã thành công như Singapore, Malaysia, Kova tiếp tục đẩy mạnh thâm nhập vào thị trường mới như châu Âu, Trung Đông… đồng thời tăng cường củng cố và phát triển thị phần trong nước. Dự kiến trong năm 2015, Kova cũng sẽ đưa vào hoạt động hai nhà máy mới tại Malaysia và Việt Nam”.
