Vi phạm bản quyền điện ảnh – dư luận nhức nhối.
Hiện tượng vi phạm bản quyền trong lĩnh vực điện ảnh đã gây ra nhiều nỗi lo cho các nhà sản xuất, những người phải bỏ ra rất nhiều chi phí để tạo ra được các tác phẩm gửi đển đông đảo khán giả. Mới đây, tại hội thảo “Bảo vệ bản quyền điện ảnh và truyền hình” được tổ chức trong khuôn khổ triển lãm quốc tế “Phim và công nghệ truyền hình Việt Nam 2015” theo thống kê cho thấy, một con số đáng kinh ngạc: “30%-40% số bộ phim hiện nay bị phát tán trên mạng ngay sau khi phát hành”. Liệu có ai hay cơ quan nào có thể giải thích được con số kể trên khi hàng ngày vẫn có những người sống “kí sinh” trên công sức của người khác.
Pháp luật sở hữu trí tuệ đã có những quy đinh nhằm bảo vệ quyền lợi cho các tác phẩm đã được đăng ký bảo hộ bản quyền. Thời hạn bảo hộ bản quyền đối với tác phẩm điện ảnh là 70 năm kể từ khi tác phẩm được công bố lần đầu tiên. Tuy nhiên, về mặt luật pháp là như thế nhưng thực tế thì thời hạn này bị rút ngắn đi rất nhiều do việc vi phạm bản quyền trên các trang mạng, trang web rất khó để kiểm soát. Nhiều bộ phim trở thành đối tượng của hành vi trên như: Bụi đời chợ lớn, Chàng trai năm ấy, Cánh đồng bất tận…và mới đây nhất là Để mai tính 2. Được biết, bộ phim Để mai tính 2 đã được K+ mua bản quyền phát hành ngày 31/05/2015 nhưng tối hôm 31, bộ phim Để mai tinhs2 đã bị chia sẽ trái phép tràn lan trên các trang web với bản HD và logo K+. Hành vi đó đã gây ra tổn thất lớn đến những người mua bản quyền phát sóng bộ phim. Điều đáng nói là các trang web đó không hề “chết” đi mà vẫn hoạt động bình thường và nếu như có chết thì lại có nhiều trang web như thế được thành lập. Chính vì vậy, vấn đề vi phạm bản quyền tác giả đang làm cho nhiều người phải đau đầu. Do đó, cần có những quy định phù hợp và nhất quán, Luật bản quyền ra đời nhưng còn nhiều điểm không phù hợp với thực tế.
