Được biết, nhân dịp “Tháng hưởng ứng ngày sở hữu trí tuệ Thế Giới 26/4” diễn ra từ 31/3 đến 30/04/2015 với sự phối hợp của Bộ KH & CN cùng Chương trình phối hợp hành động về phòng, chống xâm phạm quyền SHTT giai đoạn 2013-2015 (Chương trình 168) và Liên minh phần mềm BSA tại Việt Nam phát động ngày 31/3/2015. Cơ quan chức năng đã tiến hành vào cuộc để triển khai các đợt thanh tra, kiểm tra với các doanh nghiệp sử dụng phần mềm không bản quyền.

Hành vi sử dụng trái phép phần mềm có bản quyền có thể bị truy tố hình sự theo Luật Hình sự sửa đổi, có hiệu lực từ ngày 1/1/2010”. Từ đó cho thấy, ý thức về sở hữu trí tuệ vẫn chưa được nâng cao, cần có những biện pháp chế tài nhất định để xử phạt nghiêm khắc, lấy đó làm gương cho các doanh nghiệp sau này. Cần đăng ký bản quyền tác giả phần mềm tại Cục bản quyền Việt Nam để được bảo hộ quyền tác giả một cách tốt nhất.
